Twenty years experience in, Structural and Mechanical design disciplines specializing in Off-shore & Land rigs, Stairs and Landings, Power Control Rooms, Skid Assemblies. Rail-car assemblies, Rotating assemblies, clutches/brakes. Light Architectural & Automotive.

Strong 2d and 3d drafting skills. Knowledgeable of Bill of Materials welding symbols, machine finish and attention to details. I have a proven ability to communicate successfully between management and shop personnel the status of any project, and create expected results in a timely manner.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Admiralty Marine and Structural Engineering.

As a Checker/Designer/Drafter, I am working on rig mast assemblies, and Crown and Block assemblies as well as Sub-structures. My duties include making drawings, checking drawings for accuracy between what goes on the detail and what goes in the bill of material, and if it fits. Also using Excel in conjunction with Auto CAD to make the Bill of Material for projects. Many of the jobs that come through the office require working w/ others on the same project.

Designer of Stairs & Platforms. From scratch I designed the stairs and platforms. I designed them to interlock into different configurations and varying lengths, using compatible parts. All platform assemblies used the same inter-connecting pieces that can now be ordered through a data base.

Mechanical Drafting of drill head assemblies. These rotating assemblies would have three rotating bits with different types of teeth in each bit. As these bits go into the ground the drill head assembly spreads open. It was my task to see to it that these various bits and teeth would fit in any given drill head assembly under the direction of the project engineer. These drawings and 3d drawings were made using Auto CAD 14

Drafter Automotive !

My first drafting job Avanti Motors Youngstown, Ohio

While still attending ITT. I was selected to be the first and only candidate to

Work at Avanti Motors. Avanti hand makes the bodies and fit them to the chassis that are exclusive to Avanti Motors. My job was to draw parts that were to be welded or machined or carved. I would also make drawings of what was taking place at a given point on the assembly line. My last day there saw the assembly line closed down as the Company had been sold. Most exciting job ever!

EDUCATION

90 Hours accumulated at ITT Tech towards an engineering degree 1988.

6 Hours accumulated at Lone Star College under recent enrollment.

Currently re-sharpening my Inventor drawing” skills.
